Join GDIT as a Systems Administrator and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTThe System Administrator shall be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Administrator must have: Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree Experience: 15+ years of related experience Security
clearance required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Position Required Skills: Experience using the Linux CLI Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python Experience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures Experience using system monitoring tools
