It combines hands-on production support with reliability engineering, requiring the candidate to manage live incidents while contributing to automation and system improvements. The role involves close collaboration with development teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, and ensure smooth system operations. Strong expertise in Linux/Unix environments, Sybase(database) OS-level debugging, and production support is essential, along with experience in scripting (Python) to automate repetitive tasks. Familiarity with ITIL principles, ticketing systems like ServiceNow, and effective communication skills are critical for success. Day-to-day responsibilities are primarily focused on L2/L3 production support, including monitoring systems, handling alerts, debugging failures, and resolving outages for internal trading applications. The role also emphasizes proactive reliability improvements through automation, requiring a balance of operational support and continuous enhancement in a fast-paced, on-call-driven environment., * Monitor and respond to user-reported issues as well as infrastructure alerts promptly and professionally ,ensure issues are tracked through to resolution. * Ensure efficient incident management, ensuring accurate communication to impacted groups and timely resolution. * Facilitate root cause investigations and manage the implementation of corrective and preventative measures. * Manage coverage during North America, Asia and Europe market hours, including weekend pre-open ready-for-business checks.
