Ampa are looking to add an experienced SQL Developer to their growing Applications & Development division on an initial 20-month contract. Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, and optimise SQL-based solutions * Developing and supporting existing SQL applications and integrations across the organisation's application architecture within our Agile Delivery Processes * Collaborate with a team of developers and project managers to identify business requirements and translate them into technical specifications * Propose and implement solutions to business requirements that align with our product roadmap and architecture * Support Change and Release Management processes as part of the software development lifecycle * Work as part of a team to transform the Application Architecture of the organisation and formalise best practice standards and methodologies * Perform data analysis and ensure data quality by performing data validation and quality checks * Use DevOps for workload management and version control * Analyse performance and optimise solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and scalability * Provide technical support and troubleshoot reporting-related issues * Create visualisations and reports for requested projects * Conduct unit testing/test-driven development processes and troubleshooting * Evaluate and improve existing SQL-based solutions Role priorities * Becoming familiar with the applications, integrated solutions, backlogs and current roadmaps as well as the supported business processes * Begin to undertake testing tasks, progressing to basic modifications and creations of features and then on to more complex developments What you will need A minimum of 3 years demonstrable track record of successful delivery of complex technical applications and services.
