You will have: * Strong experience working with large and complex datasets * Advanced SQL skills and excellent Excel capability (including complex formulas and pivot tables) * Proven ability to analyse and interpret data, identifying trends and patterns * Experience in data cleaning, manipulation, and data quality assurance * Strong understanding of data reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) * Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills * Experience handling sensitive or confidential data with discretion * Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex insights to non-technical audiences ## Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join the National Child Mortality Database (NCMD). The NCMD is a nationally important programme with real-world impact on improving child health and outcomes across England. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, healthcare, and policy. You will play a key role in transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that inform national learning and drive improvements in child mortality prevention. Working closely with senior leaders, clinicians, academics, and data specialists, you will support the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of sensitive and complex data. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you will be in the office at least two days a week.
