You will design the systems, workflows and abstractions that reduce cognitive load and make reliability, security and scalability the default rather than something each team solves again on its own. The Platform team operates as a product team, and internal engineers are your customers. Your first months will go into understanding the current infrastructure, the delivery pipelines and where teams work around the platform instead of through it. From there, your impact will come from adoption and from measurable outcomes for the teams you serve, not from the sophistication of what you build. Our Environment: We value proactivity and ownership, systems thinking, automation over manual work, and simple reusable solutions over unnecessary complexity. We expect engineering outcomes to be measured rather than asserted. Our stack: + .NET services and Angular applications + AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD) + GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions + PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Redis and Kafka + OpenTelemetry-aligned observability and Datadog + Internal tooling and developer platform capabilities You do not need to be an expert in all of it from day one, but you should be comfortable across infrastructure, delivery systems, developer tooling and production environments. What You`ll Be Doing: + Internal Developer Platform. Design and build the platform that lets teams create, deploy and operate services with minimal friction. Define and implement golden paths for service creation, CI/CD, observability and infrastructure provisioning. Standardise GitHub workflows, reusable actions, and deployment pipelines. + Self-service infrastructure. Build self-service infrastructure modules on Terraform and GitOps principles. Create ephemeral environments and local development tooling that cut onboarding time and testing friction. + Reliability, performance, security, and cost by default. Embed observability, security and compliance into the platform, so teams inherit them rather than implement them. Work with product teams to identify and remove infrastructure and platform bottlenecks that impact product performance, scalability, and reliability. Align standards around SLOs, monitoring and capacity planning, and work with Finance to improve infrastructure cost visibility and efficiency. + AI-assisted engineering enablement. Turn AI practices into reusable platform capabilities: integrate AI tooling into golden paths and developer workflows and build the guardrails and validation mechanisms that let teams gain speed without losing quality. + Platform as a product. Own the platform roadmap. Drive adoption of platform capabilities and measure usage, satisfaction, and impact. Improve DORA metrics through systemic platform changes, and contribute to the evolution of modular, scalable systems. + Technical influence. Lead technical discussions on delivery and infrastructure across teams, review designs, and raise the level of the engineers who build on the platform. Influence through the quality of the paved roads you provide, not through gates. ## Related Videos - [From DevOps to Scaled DevOps: How We’re Rebuilding Continuous Delivery as a Platform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100018-from-devops-to-scaled-devops-how-we-re-rebuilding-continuous-delivery-as-a-platform) - [Reducing LLM Calls with Vector Search Patterns - Raphael De Lio (Redis)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1714-reducing-llm-calls-with-vector-search-patterns-raphael-de-lio-redis) - [Innovating Developer Tools with AI: Insights from GitHub Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1268-innovating-developer-tools-with-ai-insights-from-github-next) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Accelerating Authentication Architecture: Taking Passwordless to the Next Level](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/733-accelerating-authentication-architecture-taking-passwordless-to-the-next-level) - [DevOps Maturity Check – a way to balance autonomy and alignment](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/58-devops-maturity-check-a-way-to-balance-autonomy-and-alignment) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again)
