A PhD would be a bonus. * Demonstrable industry experience (such as summer long internships, year-in-industry or employment after graduation) in software engineering ideally including release of productised code. * Experience with Python using ML related libraries and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), ideally for rugged vision systems or other hardware related area. * Any exposure to embedded / control systems, algorithm development, mobile application development would be desirable. Candidates must have unrestricted rights to work in the UK (applicants requiring sponsorship or are on visas will not be progressed). Further, as projects are defence-focussed, candidates must be able to pass security clearance. ## Description AI applied software used for defence prototypes and embedded products This AI start-up is recruiting across a number of areas including software engineers. They will consider recent graduates or more experienced software engineers who are either immediately available or have a short notice period. The company are working on innovative AI based vision and sensing systems, and look to produce further prototype applications. The proprietary technology focuses on autonomous adaptation enabling their devices to be used flexibly in different scenarios and environments without the need for additional human intervention. They are working on both software and hardware aspects of these product technologies. Requirements * 1st / 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electronics Engineering or similar from a top 50 ranked UK university (or similar).
