## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
 * Minimum of 3 years of product design or product development engineering experience
 * Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks
 * Experience with engineering analysis and FEA tools
 * Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
 * Ability to lead projects and work effectively within cross-functional teams
 * Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

Preferred

 * Experience designing products utilizing injection molding and die casting
 * Familiarity with products, equipment, or applications related to the construction industry
 * Experience with DFMEA, DFM, validation testing, and prototype development
 * Knowledge of product lifecycle management and new product introduction processes
 * Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset

## Description

The Design Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform customer and product requirements into innovative, manufacturable solutions while ensuring performance, quality, and cost objectives are achieved. This position is 100% onsite in Owatonna, Minnesota. Seeking candidates with 3+ years of experience. There is an opening for a mid level engineer and a senior level engineer., * Lead product design and development activities from concept through production launch

 * Develop detailed customer, product, and functional requirements
 * Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks
 * Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and design validation activities
 * Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate and optimize product performance
 * Design components and assemblies for injection molding, die casting, and other manufacturing processes
 * Conduct and participate in Design Reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments
 * Develop prototypes and oversee prototype evaluations
 * Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost-reduction initiatives
 * Execute product testing, validation, and accelerated lifecycle testing
 * Provide technical leadership for product improvements and customization efforts
 * Support manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement projects
