The position will involve a blend of design and hands-on implementation (~40% design/engineering, 60% hands-on). The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and drive technical direction with minimal guidance., Education: A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field is a firm requirement. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of software development experience is required. Candidates must have a proven track record of planning and executing full Windows-to-Linux OS and application migrations in production environments. Technical Skills: * Deep expertise in Linux distributions (Ubuntu or Debian-based systems), including system hardening, package management, and configuration. * Proficiency in Linux scripting (Bash) and software development in C# and C/C++. * Experience porting or rewriting Windows-native code to Linux-compatible equivalents. * Ability to design time-sensitive, high-availability solutions with high attention to detail. * Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred), IoT concepts, and containers.
