## About the Role

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 5+ years of software development experience, OR 7+ years of equivalent professional experience

-Azure 900 certification (or able to obtain within first 30 days)

-Strong experience designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs in high-availability environments

-Advanced experience with ASP.NET Core, .NET technologies, and Azure cloud development

-Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and CI/CD pipelines

-Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

-Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, or similar)

-Ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues and deliver scalable solutions

-Experience contributing to technical architecture decisions and development best practices - Experience integrating AI-driven workflows or AI tooling

 * Experience working in microservices-based architectures
 * Front-end experience with Svelte
 * Azure certifications (higher than AZ900)
 * Experience supporting release engineering and deployment planning
 * Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

## Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer local to Richmond, Virginia, with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable, high-performing systems, with a strong focus on API development and an understanding of Azure cloud services. The Senior Software Engineer will write production code while also owning solutions end to end, from design and development through deployment and ongoing support, and contributing to architectural decisions that support long-term platform scalability. This role partners closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to translate business needs into clear technical solutions and helps strengthen the team through technical guidance and performing code reviews. The pay for this role ranges from $50/hour-$66.00/hour, based on experience.
