* Security+ Cert
 * 15 years of experience as a System Administrator
 * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
 + 5 additional years of experience as a System Administrator may be substituted for a degree, * Experience using the Linux CLI
 * Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
 * Experience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment
 * General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
 * Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
 * Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
 * Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
 * Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
 * Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
 * Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
 * Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
 * Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Desired Experience:

 * Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
 * Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
 * Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence

## Description

* The System Administrator shall be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
 * In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
