Your primary objective will be to evaluate our existing roles and permissions landscape, decompose them into clear domains, and deliver actionable recommendations for a modern, cross-cutting authorisation model. This work is critical to laying the foundation for non-UI-driven operations, specifically enabling AI agents to act securely on behalf of core system functions. Key Deliverables * Roles and Permissions Analysis: Conduct a deep-dive evaluation of the existing roles and permissions structure within internal system (primary focus), alongside a representative sample of secondary services. * Domain Decomposition: Map and decompose current roles and permissions into logical domain models to establish clear boundaries for access enforcement. * Authorisation Strategy: Define where and how authorisation/permission checks should be placed across system boundaries to support scalable decision-making. * Non-UI and AI Enabling Framework: Provide a blueprint for a unified, cross-cutting authorisation architecture that seamlessly accommodates headless workflows, automated processes, and AI agents operating on behalf of functions. ## Related Videos - [Lessons learned from observing a billion API requests](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1574-lessons-learned-from-observing-a-billion-api-requests) - [Microservices: how to get started with Spring Boot and Kubernetes](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/242-microservices-how-to-get-started-with-spring-boot-and-kubernetes) - [20 Years of Domain-Driven Design: What I’ve Learned About DDD](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1571-20-years-of-domain-driven-design-what-i-ve-learned-about-ddd) - [Thinking Differently - How to Make Money from Cyber Attacks & Cheats](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/745-thinking-differently-how-to-make-money-from-cyber-attacks-cheats) - [Building high performance and scalable architectures for enterprises](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/19-building-high-performance-and-scalable-architectures-for-enterprises) - [Headless by Design: Building Enterprise Systems That Agents Can Actually Use](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100092-headless-by-design-building-enterprise-systems-that-agents-can-actually-use) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 164: AI Agents, AI Blindspots and MCP security problems](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/578-dev-digest-164-ai-agents-ai-blindspots-and-mcp-security-problems) - [Events like RSAC Get You CISOs.
