Nice-to-Haves * Professional-level Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE (Routing & Switching or Data Center). * AWS networking certifications, such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking. * Experience with SD-WAN and SASE architectures. * Exposure to cybersecurity architecture, IAM concepts, or Zero Trust Network Access. * Experience leveraging automation APIs for ACI, Meraki, or AWS networking. * Background in financial services, retail, or other highly regulated, customer-facing industries. Education * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). ## Description The Principal Network Engineer will serve as the primary technical authority for the enterprise network, leading the design, deployment, and optimization of a large-scale Cisco-based and cloud-enabled infrastructure. In this role, you will architect and manage routing, switching, security, and data center solutions across campus, branch, data center, and cloud environments, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity for thousands of users and critical customer-facing applications. Your work will enable highly available digital and in-store experiences for customers, support core financial platforms, and drive modernization of the company's hybrid on-premises and AWS footprint. Day to day, you will design and maintain Cisco Catalyst and Nexus environments, ACI fabrics, Meraki networks, and AWS networking services while leveraging infrastructure-as-code and Python automation to streamline operations. You will collaborate closely with Cloud, Security, DevOps, and Application teams, take ownership of high-severity incident resolution, and mentor junior engineers as the go-to expert for complex network and connectivity challenges. The ideal candidate is passionate about enterprise networking, cloud-native architectures, and automation, and enjoys driving standards, best practices, and strategic initiatives that improve performance, scalability, and security.
