MCA Modern Desktop Administrator certification is desirable with MCP desktop certification acceptable. * Must possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license and must be insurable within the standards set by the City of Topeka's insurance carrier. * Must pass an extensive background check, including a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check. ## Description The City of Topeka's Information Technology department is seeking a motivated Help Desk Technician to join its team. This position serves as a trusted resource for employees across the organization, providing direct support, technical assistance and guidance to resolve issues and ensure users have the tools needed to remain productive. This position is responsible for the provisioning, maintenance, and support of PCs, mobile devices, and related equipment; it also supports Microsoft Windows operating systems, the Microsoft Office Suite, and a range of desktop applications. Additionally, this position works closely with network engineers, application and software support teams, telecommunications specialists, and structured cabling technicians to ensure seamless IT operations.
