This role is responsible for designing, governing, and modernizing data platforms to enable analytics, AI/ML, and BI across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings hands-on Microsoft Fabric architect-level expertise combined with strong stakeholder engagement and governance leadership in regulated environments. Responsibilities * Own and drive the enterprise data architecture roadmap, aligned with business and digital transformation goals. * Design and architect Microsoft Fabric-based data platforms, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Real-Time Analytics, and Semantic Models. * Lead the transition from legacy data warehouses and BI platforms to Microsoft Fabric and modern lakehouse architectures (Medallion pattern). * Define and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models across enterprise data domains. * Ensure data platforms support enterprise analytics, Power BI, AI/ML, and real-time use cases. * Architect secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud-native data solutions on Azure, leveraging Fabric-native capabilities. * Embed data governance, lineage, metadata, and quality controls using Microsoft Purview and Fabric governance features. * Define access control, security, and data privacy models aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR). * Partner with business, compliance, and technology stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions. * Provide architectural oversight, standards, and guidance to data engineering and analytics teams. * Evaluate emerging Microsoft and cloud data technologies and recommend best-fit solutions. * Mentor teams on Microsoft Fabric best practices, architecture patterns, and governance models.
