Qualification And Education: * 5+ years of experience. ## Description * Execute patching activities for middleware and application platforms (Apache Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly, WebLogic, IIS, WebSphere) as per approved change records. * Perform pre-patch checks: service health, backup verification, log baseline, and dependency mapping. * Apply patches/updates following vendor-provided runbooks and team SOPs; capture execution logs. * Validate application functionality post-patching through smoke tests and log review. * Co-ordinate with application owners to schedule patching within agreed maintenance windows. * Track patch status and update ITSM tickets accurately; maintain patch records in CMDB. * Monitor vendor security bulletins and flag relevant advisories to L2. * Escalate application failures, patch compatibility issues, or service degradation to L2. * Assist in generating application patch compliance reports.
