As a Sr. NOC Technician on this team, you should have extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within at least one of the above fields. Our Sr. NOC Technician should also be capable of building new and improving existing instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions typically require working independently and providing guidance to lower-level technicians, while knowing when to enlist technical assistance from higher-level engineers, supervisors or Manager as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Operate in a 24x7x365 Operations Center; this includes shift work, 2nd and 3rd shift hours, and weekends * Constant monitoring of ITOM and Network Management systems for alarms and performance metrics in the METRONET IT Enterprise domain.
