## Description

Infrastructure Operations Engineer - London (Remote) - c£54,000

We're hiring an experienced Principal Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join a leading public sector organisation undergoing a major cloud transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional to lead the organisation's Azure, Microsoft 365 and cyber security environments while managing a small technical team. You'll play a key role in shaping cloud strategy, driving operational excellence and ensuring critical systems remain secure, resilient and fit for the future.

Key Responsibilities

 * Lead the strategy, design and lifecycle management of Azure cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and identity platforms
 * Own Azure infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery
 * Lead cyber security operations, vulnerability management, incident response and compliance activities alongside external security partners
 * Manage and develop a small infrastructure team, providing technical leadership and mentoring
 * Drive cloud transformation projects, supporting the migration of legacy infrastructure into modern Azure environments
 * Manage Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, RBAC and identity management services
 * Develop and improve IT Service Management processes, including Change Management, Asset Management and CMDB administration
