Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Systems Engineer - **Company:** Nextlink Internet - **Location:** Hudson Oaks, TX, United States - **Experience:** Experienced - **Salary:** $80,000.0 - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Proxmox, Microsoft Windows, Systems Engineering, Microsoft Azure, Backup Devices, Software as a Service, Cluster Analysis, Cyber Security, Network Configuration and Change Management, Azure Active Directory, Ansible, Virtualization Technology, Data Storage Management, Sysadmin, Office365, System Availability, Information Technology, Nintex - **Published:** May 29, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=11c01a324e2a1b6a ## About the Role Do you have experience in Storage management (system administration)?, * 3-5 years of IT administration or systems engineering experience (not an entry-level role). * Proven proficiency in Microsoft Entra, Azure, and M365 administration. * Strong working knowledge of Proxmox VE clustering (VM management, HA, backups, networking). * Hands-on automation experience with Ansible, n8n, or comparable platforms. * Familiarity with compliance-driven environments (NIST, SOC 2, ISO, CJIS, etc.) is a plus. * Comfortable working in a scaling MSP environment with rapid change. * Self-starter who can own projects end-to-end and document processes clearly. ## Description * Administer and optimize Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Azure, and Microsoft 365 environments. * Manage and maintain Proxmox VE clusters, including virtualization, high availability, and storage/network configurations. * Automate IT workflows and processes using Ansible, n8n, and similar automation frameworks. * Implement scalable, secure solutions aligned with compliance initiatives (NIST, SOC 2, ISO, CJIS requirements, etc.). * Support IT efficiency by identifying redundant systems and streamlining SaaS usage. * Collaborate with cybersecurity, sysadmin, and helpdesk teams to reduce manual workloads and increase automation. * Participate in infrastructure planning for future growth and scaling., * Play a key role in building IT infrastructure for a growing national MSP. * Work with cutting-edge technologies in virtualization, cloud, and automation. * Be part of a forward-thinking team focused on efficiency, security, and innovation. * Competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for advancement. Work Environment/Hazards: * Working conditions primarily inside an office environment * The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate * High level of interaction with external/internal clients Physical Demands: * Able to frequently move, transport, positions objects of 50 pounds or more * Stationary position for 8-10 hours a day * Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. * Visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. * To perform this job successfully, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position. Daily movements include sitting, standing, operating computers and other office equipment and moving about the office.
