 * Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases; DynamoDB common.
 * Strong understanding of AWS security principles: RBAC, least privilege, Secrets Manager, KMS.
 * CI/CD experience, strong Git workflow, GitHub Actions.
 * Knowledge of Docker, ECS, CloudFormation.
 * Monitoring/debugging experience with Datadog, CloudWatch.
 * Familiarity with Angular framework and DevSecOps concepts.
 * Growth mindset and excellent communication & collaboration skills.

## Description

Software Developer - Cloud (AWS)

Location: Leeds - Hybrid role 3 days per week on client sites. SC clearance required (or eligible).

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Developer (AWS) to join a collaborative, DevOps-driven engineering team, working on the design and development of scalable, cloud native applications. You'll be hands-on building and maintaining backend services using modern programming languages and AWS managed services, contributing to secure, well-architected solutions that run at scale. This role suits a developer with strong cloud experience who enjoys owning features end-to-end, working closely with peers, and continuously improving how software is built, deployed, and operated in a modern AWS environment.

Responsibilities

 * Design, develop, and maintain backend services using AWS managed services.
 * Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitHub Actions.
 * Implement security best practices, including RBAC, the principle of least privilege, Secrets Manager, and KMS.
 * Work with dynamic data stores such as DynamoDB and relational databases.
 * Deploy, monitor, and debug applications using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch.
 * Use Docker, ECS, CloudFormation, Step Functions, and other AWS services.
