## About the Role

* Strong experience in IT/cloud infrastructure.
 * Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
 * Proven experience deploying Azure environments from the ground up.
 * Strong knowledge of Azure security, Entra ID, RBAC and PIM.
 * Good understanding of Azure networking, governance and resource management.
 * Experience with Azure Policy and security best practices.
 * Strong scripting/automation skills using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
 * Experience with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates would be advantageous.
 * Strong documentation and communication skills.
 * Able to work independently, take ownership and deliver to deadlines.
 * Security-conscious and comfortable working within formal governance requirements.

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Deployment Engineer to lead the implementation of a new Microsoft Azure environment.

This is a hands-on deployment role focused on building a secure, well-structured Azure environment in line with agreed architecture, security and governance requirements., * Design and deploy the Microsoft Azure environment from the ground up.

 * Configure Azure subscriptions, resource groups, networking and core services.
 * Implement Azure identity, RBAC, PIM and appropriate security controls.
 * Apply Azure policies and Microsoft best-practice standards.
 * Ensure resources are deployed securely and consistently.
 * Work with relevant security stakeholders to ensure the environment meets required security and compliance standards.
 * Troubleshoot deployment and configuration issues.
 * Use PowerShell, Azure CLI and/or Infrastructure as Code where appropriate.
 * Produce clear technical documentation covering the Azure architecture, configuration, security and operational setup.
 * Provide knowledge transfer and handover to the internal IT team.
