* HND/Degree in Design or Mechanical Engineering (minimum).
 * 5+ years' experience in a Design Engineering role.
 * Strong CAD capability (Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
 * Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection moulding, casting, rotating assemblies, fluid handling, electro-mechanical systems).
 * Familiarity with QA, testing, validation, and documentation processes.
 * Understanding of GD&T, BS8888 standards, and Design for Manufacture (DfM).

Are you an experienced Design Engineer looking for a hands-on role where you can influence the full product lifecycle? This is an opportunity to join a growing healthcare technology business, supporting the design, development, and continuous improvement of innovative medical equipment used in critical care environments.

About the Role

As a Design Support Engineer, you'll play a key role in turning concepts into compliant, manufacturable products. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll contribute across design, validation, and production support while ensuring that products meet strict regulatory and environmental requirements.

This is a diverse role where you'll be involved in:

 * Developing new designs and enhancing existing products.
 * Supporting design, production, and purchasing teams with technical expertise.
 * Creating and maintaining documentation, build instructions, and QA processes.
 * Carrying out testing, verification, and product validation.
 * Visiting and liaising with suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.

Key skills and experience
