A well-established bank in London is looking to hire a Head of Applications to take ownership of its core business applications and application strategy.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for the stability, evolution, and strategic direction of critical banking systems, working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

What you'll be doing:

 * Owning the end-to-end application landscape, including core banking and key integrations
 * Leading and developing a team across application support, development, and architecture
 * Balancing change and transformation with day-to-day operational stability
 * Working with the business to ensure applications support growth, efficiency, and customer experience
 * Managing vendors, incidents, SLAs, and regulatory expectations in a controlled banking environment
