## About the Role

* Strong software engineering background.
 * Proven experience building production Electron applications.
 * Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
 * Experience with React or similar.
 * Understanding of Electron lifecycle and IPC.
 * Experience with SQLite, IndexedDB or filesystem storage.
 * Experience with Real Time technologies such as WebSockets.
 * Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills.
 * Familiarity with macOS and/or Windows.

## Description

Paying up to 120k per annum, we're looking for a fully remote UI developer to own the desktop experience across macOS and Windows, with a strong focus on performance, reliability and Real Time functionality.
What You'll Do

 * Build and maintain cross-platform Electron applications.
 * Develop responsive, Real Time user experiences.
 * Implement desktop functionality including filesystem access, notifications, auto-updates and deep linking.
 * Integrate AI-powered features via Back End APIs.
 * Optimise startup time, memory usage and overall performance.
 * Manage local state and message history efficiently.
 * Work with WebSockets and other Real Time technologies.
 * Troubleshoot complex desktop and production issues.
