Preferred Skills & Certifications: * CCNP Enterprise certification or equivalent. * Aruba professional-level certification or equivalent. * CWNP certification. * ITIL Foundation certification. * Vendor-specific certifications aligned with the installed network and wireless manufacturers. ## Description The Network and Wireless Engineer is responsible for maintaining reliable wired and wireless network services across multiple locations. This senior-level role involves configuration, routing, deployment, wireless testing, and resolving complex connectivity issues to ensure optimal network performance and availability. Responsibilities: * Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, VLANs, trunks, and routed networks. * Diagnose network issues including latency, packet loss, loops, congestion, and performance problems. * Maintain approved configuration backups and detailed network documentation. * Support deployment and replacement of switches, routers, controllers, and access points. * Review network redundancy, capacity, and identify single points of failure. * Support DHCP, DNS, authentication, network printing, server, and endpoint dependencies. * Troubleshoot wireless association, authentication, roaming, capacity, and interference issues. * Conduct targeted wireless testing and validation. * Coordinate firmware and configuration updates across devices. * Develop implementation, testing, and rollback procedures for network changes. * Coordinate escalations with carriers, circuit providers, and manufacturers. * Maintain network diagrams, addressing records, configuration standards, and change logs. * Serve as Level 3 escalation point for network and wireless incidents., * Role may require coordination with multiple vendors and escalation points. * Must adhere to strict change management and rollback procedures to minimize network downtime. * Support for multi-site environments with potential for on-call or escalation duties.
