## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college or university
 * 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on security
 * AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
 * Experience with implementing security controls in cloud environments

Required Skills and Competencies:

 * Strong knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
 * Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
 * Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
 * Understanding of security best practices and common security threats
 * Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
 * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
 * Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
 * Ability to obtain public trust clearance

Desired Skills and Competencies:

 * Experience working in a federal government IT environment
 * Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, or NIST
 * Experience with security assessment tools and vulnerability scanning
 * Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
 * AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification
 * Experience with security incident response and forensics

## Description

The Senior DevOps Engineer, having AWS and terraform knowledge, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud-based solutions while ensuring best security practices are followed., * Designing and implementing secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS

 * Implementing security policies and best practices for cloud-based applications
 * Collaborating with development teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline
 * Monitoring systems for security vulnerabilities and conducting regular security audits
 * Engaging in incident response activities and addressing security issues promptly
 * Automating security processes and configuration management
 * Implementing and managing AWS/Azure services and resources
 * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are met
