Backend business user. People who do the buying, orders, pricing team but working with Ari's group; in developers. * 3-6 years of software product management experience, including Agile delivery. They don't take a budget and run with it, they have to understand the end to end - need to understand how data flows in the system. * Familiarity with analysis and backlog management tools such as Visio, Teams, Jira, and Confluence. * Experience working within the Project Management Lifecycle or System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). How users use it and explain data and explain to stakeholders and developers. * Proficiency in Agile techniques, Scrum practices, and Agile product management. * Agile / Scrum experience * Product ownership or product management experience * Requirements gathering * User story writing * Backlog management * Jira & Confluence * SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) * Working with developers and business stakeholders Background in retail Merchandising PIM master data management, and EDI preferred ## Description They are building a custom merchandising system equivalent to oracle retail merch system. But they use Blue Yonder and master data management. Ongoing projects that they don't have a lead or product owner - Item master: staying project on item groupings (items that get put on promotions, etc) - Item master and communicating with folks that maintain items that use it (website, pricing team) a big portion of backend system - Pricing team - maintaining pricing functionality and maintain some of the discounts to store registers. Ordering approvals etc. Acting as a bridge between the business and development team Working closely with the stakeholders, developers, QA teams, designers and operational teams to make sure new technology solutions are delivered successfully. 1. Gather Business Requirements * Meet with merchandising, supply chain, and operations teams. * Understand their problems and process pain points. * Identify opportunities to improve workflows and user experience. 2. Write User Stories & Manage Backlog * Turn business needs into detailed requirements. * Create user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira. * Prioritize what gets built first. 3. Work with Agile Development Teams * Participate in sprint planning. * Clarify requirements for developers. * Answer questions during development. * Ensure products are delivered on time. 4. Product Lifecycle Management * Track feature progress. * Assist with testing. * Coordinate product launches and rollouts. * Monitor for risks and delays. 5. Stakeholder Communication * Provide project updates. * Lead product demos. * Collect feedback from users. * Adjust priorities based on business needs.
