That's where data visualization is essential. Our team's goal is to make Planet's data and platform more accessible and understandable. You will be joining the Data Visualization Team, which sits inside of the Marketing Department. This "DataViz" team is part of Marketing's Creative Group, along with web developers and graphic designers. We're looking for a spatial thinker with a passion for remote sensing analysis and visual communication to join our team. You will help the Marketing and Communications Teams leverage Planet's platform and collection of imagery and derived data products (Planetary Variables) to create visualizations for external distribution. We're looking for someone who's excited about using our one-of-a-kind datasets and platform in new and compelling ways. You are intellectually curious, forward thinking, and willing to suggest and try new technologies and creative approaches. This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week. Impact You'll Own: * Find and tell stories that showcase novel applications of Planet's unique products, and leveraging your ability to combine our imagery with complementary datasets. * Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to understand target audiences and create graphics for content to educate customers on how Planet data can meet their needs or solve their problems. * Assist in scoping and providing technical feedback on Marketing content, whether it's an animation, video, datasheet or presentation deck. You'll ensure that the data is accurately represented. * Partner with the Media Programs Manager and the rest of the DataViz team to prepare and share imagery externally with the press, think tanks and analysts as they try to meet tight deadlines. * Encourage and use best practices for data visualization as an expert resource within the organization. ## Related Videos - [A practical guide to writing secure Dockerfiles](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/109-a-practical-guide-to-writing-secure-dockerfiles) - [Svelte ♥ TypeScript and so will you](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/493-svelte-typescript-and-so-will-you) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Web-based Information Visualization](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/84-web-based-information-visualization) - [Docker build without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100114-docker-build-without-docker) - [Hacking AI at the Edge of the Indian Ocean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100177-hacking-ai-at-the-edge-of-the-indian-ocean) ## Related Articles - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Data Engineer Salary UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/253-data-engineer-salary-uk) - [Dev Digest 129 - Now that's what I call private data!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/468-dev-digest-129-now-that-s-what-i-call-private-data) - [The Fastest JavaScript Charts - Built for React and Beyond](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/636-the-fastest-javascript-charts-built-for-react-and-beyond) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again)
