The architect will be responsible for producing a consolidated High-Level Design (HLD) covering business capabilities, application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, operational architecture, and technology direction., * Enterprise Architecture Leadership: 1. Own the development of the consolidated Engine + Core High-Level Design. 2. Define and validate business and technical capabilities based on: o Conceptual architecture o Business requirements o Use cases o End-to-end business processes o Non-functional requirements o Existing and target-state systems o Establish target-state enterprise architecture aligned with business objectives. o Facilitate architecture workshops with business, product, engineering, data, and operations teams. * Solution Architecture & Capability Modeling 1. Define logical decomposition of enterprise capabilities into: o Services, Components, Processing layers, Data stores, Shared platform capabilities o Document service responsibilities and architectural boundaries. o Create capability-based architecture models and service interaction diagrams. o Validate architecture against business workflows and future-state operating models. * Integration Architecture 1. Define and govern enterprise integration strategies across: o Synchronous API services, Event-driven architectures, Messaging platforms, CDC (Change Data Capture) patterns, Batch and file-based processing, External system integrations 2. Responsibilities include: o Defining integration patterns and standards o Identifying service contracts and interaction models o Designing resilient integration approaches o Defining orchestration and choreography strategies * Data Architecture 1. Define major operational data stores and ownership models. 2. Establish system-of-record boundaries. 3. Define data persistence and data-platform integration patterns. 4. Support reconciliation, auditability, traceability, and control requirements. 5. Align architecture with enterprise data governance standards. * Resilience, Operations & Observability 1. Design architecture supporting: o Exception management, Failure recovery, Retry and replay mechanisms, Idempotent processing, Manual remediation workflows o Reconciliation processes, Operational monitoring, Distributed tracing, Alerting and supportability 2. Define enterprise approaches for: o High availability, Business continuity, Disaster recovery, Capacity and scalability, o Operational readiness o Security Architecture 3. Define secure architectural patterns. 4. Ensure architecture supports: o Identity and access management o Authentication and authorization o Data protection o Audit and compliance requirements o Regulatory and enterprise security controls 5. Architecture Governance 6. Identify architecture gaps and overlaps. 7. Document assumptions, risks, constraints, and open decisions. 8. Present architecture reviews to stakeholders and governance boards. 9. Address architecture review feedback and obtain solution approval. 10. Support implementation planning and effort estimation., Key Deliverables: The Enterprise Architect will be accountable for delivering: * Consolidated Engine + Core High-Level Design. * Capability Architecture Model. * Logical Service & Component Architecture. * Integration Architecture. * Data Architecture & System of Record Definition. * Operational Architecture (Monitoring, Alerting, Recovery). * Security Architecture Overview. * Risk, Assumptions, Constraints & Dependency Register. * Architecture Review Resolution Package. * Implementation Planning Inputs and Estimation Support. ## Related Videos - [Next Level Enterprise Architecture: Modular, Flexible, Scalable, Multichannel and AI-Ready?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1017-next-level-enterprise-architecture-modular-flexible-scalable-multichannel-and-ai-ready) - [Keeping applications secure by evolving OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100152-keeping-applications-secure-by-evolving-oauth-2-0-and-openid-connect) - [Leveraging Real time data in FSIs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/806-leveraging-real-time-data-in-fsis) - [Blueprints for Success: Steering a Global Data & AI Architecture](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1577-blueprints-for-success-steering-a-global-data-ai-architecture) - [Delay the AI Overlords: How OAuth and OpenFGA Can Keep Your AI Agents from Going Rogue](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1637-delay-the-ai-overlords-how-oauth-and-openfga-can-keep-your-ai-agents-from-going-rogue) - [NoSQL Data Modeling for Front-end Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/297-nosql-data-modeling-for-front-end-developers) ## Related Articles - [Best US AI Conferences for CTOs in 2026: Build vs. Buy, Vendor Evaluation, and Peer Intelligence](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/736-best-us-ai-conferences-for-ctos-in-2026-build-vs-buy-vendor-evaluation-and-peer-intelligence) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Best Companies to Work For in Berlin: Top 14 Companies in 2023 ](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/188-best-companies-to-work-for-in-berlin-top-14-companies-in-2023) - [Top-Paying Tech Jobs (with Salaries)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/372-top-paying-tech-jobs-with-salaries)
