Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # AFSIM Modeler - **Company:** Solutions Through Innovative Technologies, Inc. - **Location:** Dayton, OH, United States (Remote available) - **Experience:** Experienced - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Microsoft Excel, C++ (Programming Language), Computer Programming, Data Visualization, Python (Programming Language), MATLAB, Verification and Validation (Software), Data Processing, Scripting, Cisco Discovery Protocol, Information Technology, Modeling and Simulation - **Published:** August 27, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.clearancejobs.com/jobs/9119618/afsim-modeler ## About the Role * Active Secret (Top Secret/SCI preferred) * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related technical field. * 2-5+ years of experience in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) or MS&A for DoD or Intelligence Community programs. * Hands-on experience using AFSIM for scenario development, analysis, or model configuration (e.g., entities, weapons, sensors, tactics). * Familiarity with scripting or programming (e.g., AFSIM scripting, Python, MATLAB, or similar tools) to automate runs and post-process data. * Ability to interpret and model operational concepts, threat laydowns, and system characteristics from government documentation and SMEs. * Strong analytical, communication, and briefing skills, with experience presenting technical results to government customers. * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; current active Secret or higher strongly preferred., * Experience supporting AFLCMC, AFRL, or other Dayton-area DoD organizations on MS&A tasks. * Background in air, space, or multi-domain operations, electronic warfare, or command and control modeling. * Experience with C++ or other compiled languages used to extend or customize AFSIM components. * Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Excel, or similar). * Prior experience working as a government contractor delivering technical reports, briefings, and CDRLs. ## Description Seeking an experienced Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) Modeler to provide Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) support to U.S. Department of Defense programs. The selected candidate will design, build, and execute AFSIM-based scenarios and models that assess system performance, CONOPS, and mission outcomes for government stakeholders.
