## About the Role

* MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
 * 3+ years of experience in telecommunication systems, RF electronics or antenna
 * Knowledge of telecommunication payloads and one or more standards (e.g., DVB-S2X, DVB-RCS2, 5G, CCSDS, …)
 * Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across teams and company to drive multi-disciplinary projects to completion
 * Good communication skills
 * Fluency in English

Nice to have

 * A passion for technology and rapid execution of sophisticated space missions
 * Experience in frequency coordination (ITU, FCC)
 * Experience working on telecommunication satellite constellations
 * Experience with RF systems analysis tools (SystemView or equivalent custom tools).
 * Knowledge of software-defined radios (SDR) and digital signal processing (DSP)
 * Knowledge of RF subsystems (transponders, antennas, amplifiers, frequency converters, SSPA,…)
 * Experience with interference analysis
 * Experience with scripting language (Python)
 * Experience in space industry
 * Willing to work out of your comfort zone

## Description

* Design and analyze satellite communication systems, including size and number of beams, bandwidth, coverage, … to meet system requirements (capacity, throughput, …).
 * Develop RF link budgets and conduct performance assessments using (custom) simulation tools.
 * Design modulation, coding, and multiplexing techniques for reliable satellite links.
 * Work with the designers and the customer on high-level architecture.
 * Support all aspects of the development chain: requirements, architecture, design, manufacturing, integration, test, operations
 * Work on RF / telecommunication spacecraft architecture with various teams (e.g. RF, electrical, software, FPGA, network).
 * Support design reviews to ensure requirements and interface compliance
 * Work closely with external providers of telecommunication systems to review designs, identify, and resolve issues and develop integration and test approaches
 * Execute in-lab testing and on-orbit performance validation, using advanced RF measurement tools (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators)., As part of this opportunity, you will work as a Dekimo consultant at one of our clients' sites, while receiving support and guidance from our teams.
