## About the Role

* Laufendes Studium in Medieninformatik, Informatik oder einem verwandten Bereich

 * Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Frontend-Design und der Frontend-Entwicklung (idealerweise React/TypeScript)
 * Ausgeprägtes Interesse an User Experience (UX) und Spaß an der Benutzeroberflächen-Gestaltung
 * Strukturierte Arbeitsweise und Interesse an Software-Testing
 * Freude an Teamarbeit und offener Kommunikation

Was wünschenswert wäre:
Erste Kenntnisse in Julia oder anderen Programmiersprachen wie Python oder C/C++ sowie Erfahrungen im Backend-Bereich, beispielsweise in der Entwicklung von REST-APIs, der Nutzung von Protobuf/gRPC oder der Anbindung von Datenbanken wie SQLite, sind gerne gesehen.

## Description

* Unterstützung bei der Migration einer bestehenden Gtk4-GUI (Julia) zu einer modernen, React-basierten GUI
 * Implementierung, Design und Testing der neuen grafischen Benutzeroberfläche zur Ansteuerung von Forschungsgeräten und zur Verwaltung sowie Visualisierung von tomographischen Roh- und Bilddaten
 * Entwicklung von wiederverwendbaren UI-Komponenten und Daten-Viewern
 * Mitwirkung beim Erstellen und Durchführen von Unit-Tests und UI-Tests zur Sicherstellung einer hohen Testabdeckung
 * Aktive Mitgestaltung der User Experience (UX) und Neustrukturierung der bestehenden Oberflächen und Workflows
