This position offers a distinctive opportunity to work across the full stack, from React/TypeScript interfaces through to a C#/.NET back end, with real influence over technical decisions and engineering standards as one of the company's earliest engineering hires. This is a pre-seed company: it's not a guaranteed path, but when we succeed, the upside is significant. This role won't suit a typical career developer looking for a safe, well-trodden path., * Designing, building, and shipping features across the full stack, from database to UI. * Working closely with the founding team to translate product requirements into robust, scalable systems. * Building and maintaining APIs and services in C# (.NET Core / ASP.NET) backed by SQL, with attention to query performance and tuning. * Building responsive, accessible interfaces in React and TypeScript, using the team's front-end toolkit (Vite, turborepo, pnpm, Radix, ShadCN, Tailwind, Zustand, Tanstack Router, Tanstack Query). * Contributing to the mobile experience using React Native and Expo, sharing patterns and tooling with the web codebase where sensible. * Using AI coding tools as part of your workflow - critically reviewing, testing, and taking ownership of AI-generated code rather than accepting it uncritically. * Participating in code review, architectural discussions, and establishing engineering practices and standards as an early hire. * Helping build a culture of strong engineering discipline including clean code, sound OOP design, and a proper test pyramid in a company operating in a regulated, data-sensitive industry. ## Related Videos - [But, you're not Facebook](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/378-but-you-re-not-facebook) - [Micro Frontends with Module Federation: Why and How?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/165-micro-frontends-with-module-federation-why-and-how) - [Building Multi-Tenant ASP.NET Core Applications: Best Practices and Real-World Solutions](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1552-building-multi-tenant-asp-net-core-applications-best-practices-and-real-world-solutions) - [Web APIs you might not know about](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/281-web-apis-you-might-not-know-about) - [Why you must use TDD now!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/114-why-you-must-use-tdd-now) - [Micro-Frontends with Module Federation: Beyond the Basics](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/298-micro-frontends-with-module-federation-beyond-the-basics) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [Dev Digest 113 - Debugging above the cloud](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/422-dev-digest-113-debugging-above-the-cloud) - [WeAreDevelopers Dev Digest Issue 116 - The new search wars…](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/445-wearedevelopers-dev-digest-issue-116-the-new-search-wars) - [Fullstack Developer Salary UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/251-fullstack-developer-salary-uk)
