 * Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
 * Experience working within Agile software delivery environments.
 * Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
 * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
 * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
 * Experience working in a customer-facing, consultancy, or stakeholder-driven environment.
 * Experience working within Financial Services, Banking, FinTech, Insurance or Wealth Management environments.
 * Previous consultancy or professional services experience.
 * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
 * Knowledge of containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
 * Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging technologies.
 * Exposure to modern front-end frameworks and technologies.
 * Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude or similar technologies.
 * Experience using AI to improve development efficiency, code quality and delivery outcomes.
 * Exposure to AI-powered automation solutions.
 * Experience integrating AI services, APIs or Large Language Models (LLMs) into applications.
 * Interest in emerging AI technologies and their practical application within software development.
 * Must be within a commutable distance of either Newcastle or Edinburgh, with office attendance required approximately once per month.
