## About the Role

You're equally excited by difficult engineering problems as you are by voxel, sandbox, and multiplayer games. You think deeply about what makes these games fun and enjoy building the technical systems that make them possible.

You have robust engineering fundamentals, a high-ownership mentality and enjoy working collaboratively. You are eager to wear many hats across game design, UI/UX, and community management, and can iterate quickly on a live product whilst learning from player feedback., * A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.

 * Some professional experience in software engineering, either through internships, or scaled side projects.
 * Experience developing games, game engines or modding through side projects.

## Description

We're a profitable video game start-up in London with 15 million monthly players and we're hiring New Grad Software Engineers (2026 or 2027) to join our 11-person founding team., Things you could work on within your first 2 months:

 * Create and manage your own game
 * Develop new gameplay systems inside existing games
 * Build new engine features for use by other game developers
 * Profile and optimise performance
 * Develop an in-game item marketplace
 * Improve our partner implementations (E.g. CrazyGames, Discord Activities)
 * Play a lot of Bloxd :)

Our tech

We have a TypeScript-first codebase, and use a combination of React, WebGL, and Node. This tech allows us to deliver Bloxd in an incredibly accessible way, and provides a great developer experience. You'll need to be happy to pick these up if you're not already familiar with them.
