As a Software Engineer on the Location & Motion team, you will design and build the frameworks and system services that enable on-device sensing at scale. You will create algorithms that process real-time signals, extract meaningful context, and deliver those insights to users through platform-level frameworks and integrations with Apple Intelligence. You'll work closely with CoreLocation, CoreMotion, Audio Understanding, and AIML colleagues to tackle open-ended, research-like problems - prototyping novel sensing capabilities and bringing them to production on Apple platforms., This role is for the platform-level work: daemons, frameworks, and ML inference pipelines beneath the UI layer, continuously interpreting the environment efficiently, privately, and deeply integrated with the OS. You will collaborate with ML researchers to translate models into production systems. Problems span low-level signal capture to high-level context modeling to APIs surfacing capabilities to developers and features across Apple platforms. ## Related Videos - [Harnessing Apple Intelligence: Live Coding with Swift for iOS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1515-harnessing-apple-intelligence-live-coding-with-swift-for-ios) - [Docker network without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1418-docker-network-without-docker) - [Rest API Antipatterns](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100208-rest-api-antipatterns) - [Concurrency with Go](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/191-concurrency-with-go) - [Fun with PaaS – How to use Cloud Foundry and its uniqueness in creative ways](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/673-fun-with-paas-how-to-use-cloud-foundry-and-its-uniqueness-in-creative-ways) - [REST In Peace: Why LLMs Can't CRUD](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100272-rest-in-peace-why-llms-can-t-crud) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 118 - not a total recall](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/452-dev-digest-118-not-a-total-recall) - [Dev Digest 137 - AI'm not sure about this](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/485-dev-digest-137-ai-m-not-sure-about-this) - [Dev Digest 158: Super Mario AI 🔑 API keys in LLMs 🤙🏾 Vibe Coding](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/559-dev-digest-158-super-mario-ai-api-keys-in-llms-vibe-coding) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix)
