## Description

A rapidly scaling consumer marketplace is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to own and optimize the economics of its marketplace. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role working directly with senior leadership to shape pricing, promotions, product scheduling, and overall marketplace performance. You'll operate in a fast, experimental environment where insights can be shipped the same day.

What You'll Work On

 * Own the analytical framework for marketplace economics: pricing, promotions, scheduling, demand, and margin trade-offs
 * Design and interpret experiments to understand marketplace behavior and ambiguous results
 * Improve user acquisition, payment authorization rates, and promotion efficiency
 * Build models that quantify economic trade-offs across shopper volume, demand, and margin
 * Partner closely with engineering and leadership to rapidly test and deploy insights
 * Create lightweight automations or instrumentation to support experimentation (AI-assisted development welcome)
