## About the Role

* Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
 * Proficiency in Software Development and Programming with modern languages (Python, JavaScript, html).
 * Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (PostgreSQL), and security best practices.
 * Advanced skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and designing reusable, modular components.
 * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
 * Background in designing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (e.g., Jenkins, docker, Ansible) is beneficial.
 * Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
 * Prior experience in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations is a plus.

## Description

Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support CSF's scholarship management, data reporting, and operational workflows. This full-time, remote includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect scalable systems, and implement secure back-end services and APIs. The engineer will write clean, maintainable code, perform code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure reliability and data integrity across applications. Day-to-day responsibilities also include troubleshooting production issues, integrating third-party systems, contributing to technical documentation, and mentoring other engineers. The role offers the opportunity to build technology that directly enhances CSF's ability to serve students, families, and partner organizations.
