For more information: . ## Description As a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: * Duties include the management, coordination, integration, modernization, and execution of all activities relating to 54 critical C2 sites; the organizations responsible for these sites include; Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Service Components, Agencies, Allies, and International Partnership for Peace members on the Global Common Operating Picture (COP) and multinational systems. * Serve as the warfighter advocate and operational sponsor for all Joint C2 policy and process matters, to include an 87 million dollar effort to maintain and recapitalize Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS - J), the Joint C2 Family of Systems (FoS), and the development of future enterprise technologies using the cloud. * Provide policy, strategy, oversight, and supporting information technology for the development, coordination, review, dissemination, and approval of Joint C2 information systems. * Ensure that the Global C2 community of over 150 subject matter experts from across the world meet in one location annually to carry out these responsibilities, in addition to traveling to key critical locations biennially in support of the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff's (CJCS) Common Operational Picture (COP) assistance program. * Serve as principal advisor to the CJCS, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (VCJCS), DJ3, DDNHDCO J36, and Division Chief N2C3 on all matters relating to COP policies, procedures and supporting Information Technology (IT). * Prepare briefings and official papers for General Officer/Flag Officers on the Joint Staff and throughout the Department of Defense (DoD). * Represent the DDNHDCO J33 6 at 13 critical meetings, counsels, and groups to expeditiously respond to challenges in maintaining optimal technical reliability and functionality for all Global C2 systems. * .Be familiar with and be able to interpret strategic guidance on interoperability for Global C2 to be able to advocate for advanced technology and cyber security issues at the 0-7 and SES level. * Lead a multi-agency C2 system advisory team to aid combatant commanders with their fundamental tasks to maintain timely and accurate shared situational awareness for their superior and subordinate headquarters by way of command assistance visits., * Providing policy, strategy, oversight, and supporting information technology for the development, coordination, review, dissemination, and approval of Joint Command and Control (C2) information systems; * Serving as principal advisor to high-level management on all matters relating to Global Common Operational Picture (GCOP) policies, procedures and supporting Information Technology (IT), and expeditiously responding to challenges in maintain optimal technical reliability and functionality for all Global C2 systems); * Participating in the publishing of annual C2 priorities list that includes requirements, priorities, and budgets for modification enhancements, technical corrections, and new initiatives relative to Common Operational Picture and Shared Situation Awareness (SSA) development efforts; * Possessing a working knowledge of the National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, National Military Strategy, the Unified Command Plan and experience in drafting and staffing Instructions/Manuals., The selecting official may choose to conduct interviews, and once the selection is made, you will receive a notification of the decision.
