## Description

* Top 3 or 4 Desired Skills: Oracle 12.x & 18.x OLTP/Warehouse databases, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13, SQLNavigator., This request is for an advanced Oracle Application Database Administrator (DBA). Best-qualified candidates will have strong Oracle application, OEM, and Erwin experience using Oracle 12.x to 18.x environments.
This position provides advanced-level technical expertise and support within the Technical Services Section for DWD's Oracle database environment.

Responsibilities include:

 * Database security administration, research, implementation, maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting of database architectures and data management software for various platforms.
 * Work with application development staff on logical database design.
 * Designing and implementing physical databases including multi-agency OLTP and data warehouse.
 * Collaborating on the design and installation of maintenance and upgrades to database software.
 * Monitoring performance and making tuning recommendations.
 * Estimating database growth for capacity planning; and, problem determination and resolution.

Qualified candidates must have prior experience as an Oracle Application DBA.
Hardware/Software Environment:

 * Oracle 12.x & 18.x OLTP/Warehouse databases.
 * Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13.
