## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and at least eight (8) years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.\n
 * Must have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator.\n
 * Must have at least 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience.\n
 * In-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security controls.\n
 * In-depth experience applying Oracle CPU patches, IAVA patches, and other database products.\n
 * In-depth experience with Linux security as it relates to Oracle databases.\n
 * In-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems and issues.\n
 * Must have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.\n
 * Must have experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL.\n, * Experience with real-time, highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle GoldenGate, Sybase Replication Server.\n
 * Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and/or as a member of an Agile team.\n
 * Extensive, in-depth knowledge of databases, with primary focus on Oracle and other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.\n
 * Experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.\n
 * Experience with MongoDB and/or Cassandra.\n

## Description

* Review database SRG and/or STIGs as updates are released, and report changes with the potential to have significant impact.\n
 * Determine the impact and risk of submitted change requests prior to implementation and participate in meetings to provide cyber oversight for web changes that affect the level of risk.\n
 * Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching.\n
 * Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.\n
 * Perform database recovery actions.\n
 * Modify existing database scripts to enhance systems support and create new database scripts for recurring database issues.\n
 * Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests.\n
