## About the Role

* 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
 * Strong SQL and Python expertise
 * Experience with Spark, Hive or similar Big Data technologies
 * Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services and/or AWS
 * Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent platforms
 * Experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud-based data architectures
 * Understanding of Data Quality, CI/CD and DevOps principles for data platforms
 * English proficiency (mandatory)
 * Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset

Nice to have

 * Databricks
 * Power BI
 * Data Vault & Dimensional Modelling (Star Schema)
 * Data Governance & Data Contracts

## Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to help build and scale a modern data ecosystem for one of Belgium's leading healthcare organizations.
What you'll be doing

 * Designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integrations
 * Developing scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions
 * Implementing data quality, monitoring and observability practices
 * Supporting BI, Analytics and Data Science teams with trusted datasets
 * Driving data engineering standards, best practices and architecture decisions
 * Coaching and mentoring teams while contributing to the long-term data roadmap
