## About the Role

* Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent qualification.
 * Experienced in managing Web Servers, Apache, Tomcat, and Java Applications in a Linux based environment.
 * Basic knowledge of Cloud Computing environments, particularly AWS, and container orchestration, such as Kubernetes (e.g. Amazon ECS).
 * Understanding of networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP).
 * Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and ideally Ansible experience for automation and tooling.
 * Knowledge of ITIL processes and Service Management.
 * Knowledge of Agile/Scrum teamwork.
 * Fluent written and spoken English.

## Description

This is a hands-on engineering role in an international team responsible for deployment and administration of Java applications developed in-house. You will collaborate closely with the developers and with colleagues from IT Infrastructure and Customer Support., * Install, integrate, and troubleshoot Java-based applications hosted at G+D Datacenters and Cloud environments for market-leading customers.

 * Operate web servers, proxy servers, and Java applications in a Linux-based environment, including the management of digital certificates and keys.
 * Analyze and resolve incidents related to Java applications, in compliance with the service level agreements and service processes based on the ITIL framework.
 * Implement, test, and document new customer solutions in close coordination with project management and other internal teams.
 * Maintain and enhance our monitoring, logging, and event management systems.
 * Automate regular operational support tasks and system deployments using scripts and Ansible.
