## About the Role

The candidate should be capable to work independently as a contributor to software development team. He or she should exhibit expertise in:

 * Agile software development, with proficiency in Java and Python
 * Designing, developing and maintaining scalable client and server side applications using modern software engineering practices for modular and extensible solutions
 * Software integrations with commercial software tools, cloud services, databases and external APIs
 * Cloud and Information Technology principals including cloud based architectures, database architectures, and data sharing protocols
 * AI/Mlops - Model Containerization and deployment, pipeline automations

The candidate should also demonstrate a general understanding, or interest in gaining expertise in:

 * Systems Engineering processes, methods, and tools as applied to systems lifecycles
 * Digital Engineering methodologies and tooling, * BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5 in an Engineering Discipline
 * Software Engineering- Java, Python
 * Cloud Architecture and Solutions
 * Database and Web Database Administration and Integration
 * AI/MLOps - (Azure and/or AWS AI Services, Pydantic or other AI)
 * Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance

Preferred Experience

 * Cloud Security and Compliance
 * Pipeline development/management (GitLab, Azure DevOps)
 * Software application design and development
 * Linux based software development

## Description

This position is for Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, In this role, the candidate would be collaborating with a software development team working in an agile workflow. Day to day responsibilities would include the specification, architecting, and development of client, server and cloud based software including AI/ML applications and pipelines. The candidate will be working in a cross-functional team designing, developing and deploying advanced applications in cloud and AI technology. Application development includes integration with commercial and cloud-based software through REST or Open APIs. Development of pipelines for software builds. Occasionally, customer facing demonstrations of software technology are required. Additional duties as assigned.
