## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in engineering
 * Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments
 * Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate

#LI-EV1, * Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience

 * A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported
 * Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported
 * Knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
 * Proficient with Microsoft Office
 * Good verbal and written communication skills
 * An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must, If you are required to drive for us, we require a valid driver's license and compliance with our vehicle policy.

## Description

In the role of Technical Specialist, we'll count on you to:

 * Perform engineering assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer
 * Design tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and procedures
 * Production of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other software
 * Preparation of design or quantity calculations
 * Preparation of specifications and contract documents
 * Coordination with other disciplines as necessary
 * Other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer
 * Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)
 * Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
 * Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
 * Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
 * Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
