The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Systems Engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment., * Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related field - or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience * Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle (such as MBSE, integration, test, design, requirements, etc.) * Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required ## Desired Skills * 2+ years of experience performing Systems Engineering activities in the aerospace or related industry, with a focus on ground segments or satellite communications systems * 2+ years of experience with IBM Rational DOORS (or equivalent requirements database) * 3+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (CAMEO) * Experience in agile development process, roles, and rhythms (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) * Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines * Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to an audience with varied technical backgrounds * Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner, work independently, and leverage best practices * Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills * Active Top Secret security clearance * Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice ## Description * Contribute to System Engineering activities supporting the program, including system architecture, design, integration, and testing * Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation of Ground Integration, ensuring seamless communication between system components * Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definitions to translate customer needs into requirements as well as hardware and software specifications * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and test engineers, to ensure system requirements are met * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, interface control documents, and test plans The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
