## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field
 * 5-7+ years total software engineering experience
 * 3-5+ years hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST/microservices, and cloud-based development
 * Experience coaching junior/staff-level developers
 * Strong system design experience, mid-scale to enterprise
 * Proven ability to translate architecture/leadership goals into technical design docs and delivery roadmaps
 * Full SDLC experience, including production delivery
 * Atlassian suite (Bitbucket, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence)
 * Experience with Git-based code management

Preferred

 * Front-end development experience (Angular or similar)
 * Exposure to test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD)
 * Hands-on experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry

## Description

We're looking for a technical lead who can own end-to-end delivery on a cross-functional, multi-platform system - from architecture documentation through production support - while coaching a scrum team on Java and cloud development practices.

What You'll Do

 * Lead technical design, development, and implementation across a cross-functional, multi-platform application
 * Coach the scrum team on Java and cloud development (Spring Boot, PCF, frontend/backend integration)
 * Own code quality: reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices across the team's deliverables
 * Lead proof-of-concept work to establish reusable development patterns
 * Produce high-level design, system design, and architecture documentation; secure architect team approval
 * Act as security champion - evaluate and resolve vulnerabilities, close security gaps
 * Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo) into PCF environments
 * Coordinate with offshore development and QA teams as needed
 * Advise peers and junior engineers on technical problem-solving and delivery timelines
 * Partner with Product Owner, SME, and Business Analyst on solution design
