Our commitment to customer success drives us to go the extra mile. If you're ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position. * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required. * 10+ years working with power electronics, power delivery architectures, and precision analog circuits in a design, applications, or systems engineering capacity. Hands-on technical depth demonstrated through work such as schematic design, bring-up, characterization, debug, or resolving complex measurement and performance problems on deployed hardware. * Experience with semiconductor test equipment, precision instrumentation, or complex electronic systems. * Demonstrated success as a senior individual contributor, technical lead, or system architect, with the ability to define technical strategy and influence product direction across an organization. * Track record negotiating requirements among competing stakeholders: making, defending, and revising technical trade-offs when not every request can be met. * Experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating industry trends into architectural decisions and product roadmaps. * Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage customers, engineering teams, and senior leadership on complex technical problems. * Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10-20% of the time. ## Description The Platform-DC Systems Engineering position is a technical leadership role responsible for defining the direction of DC instrumentation across our ATE platforms. This role owns the instrument and platform-level architecture decisions that shape how our DC product lines evolve. That work involves evaluating emerging device, packaging, and power delivery technologies, then translating them into instrumentation capability that gives our customers a measurable test advantage. The ideal candidate pairs deep expertise in power and precision analog design with systems-level judgment and leads through influence by driving architecture decisions and negotiating requirements and trade-offs across hardware, software, firmware, and test methodology. * Define DC instrumentation and platform requirements and guide the product roadmap for Teradyne's UltraFLEXplus tester, evaluating emerging semiconductor technologies, advanced packaging innovations, and power delivery architectures to identify opportunities for differentiated test capability. * Drive critical architecture decisions and technical trade-offs across DC instrumentation platforms, balancing performance, accuracy, cost, scalability, and long-term viability. * Serve as the technical authority for DC system architecture shaping engineering investment across organizations and partnering with hardware, software, systems, marketing, and product management to translate customer and market requirements into development priorities. * Represent Teradyne in customer engagements, technical conferences, industry forums, and standards organizations to gather technical voice-of-customer input and influence future technology direction. * Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across organizational boundaries to solve complex system-level challenges. ## Related Videos - [The Billion Dollar Machine: First Time Right.](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/393-the-billion-dollar-machine-first-time-right) - [Using AI Without Losing Your Skills](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2045-using-ai-without-losing-your-skills) - [Playing Pong on a shoulder press machine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100140-playing-pong-on-a-shoulder-press-machine) - [Why Your Best Mediors Never Become Seniors (And How to Fix It)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2108-why-your-best-mediors-never-become-seniors-and-how-to-fix-it) - [What I learned as a developer from accidents in space](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/642-what-i-learned-as-a-developer-from-accidents-in-space) - [Agent Smith Gets Hardware: Autonomous IoT Hacking From Debug Port to Cloud API](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100258-agent-smith-gets-hardware-autonomous-iot-hacking-from-debug-port-to-cloud-api) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Why Attend a Developer Event in 2026?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/688-why-attend-a-developer-event-in-2026) - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [What Makes WeAreDevelopers World Congress Different From Every Other Tech Event?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/701-what-makes-wearedevelopers-world-congress-different-from-every-other-tech-event)
