(Required) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * DevOps * Emerging Technologies * Software Design * Software Development * Technology Development * Test Evaluation * Analytical Thinking * Collaboration * Continuous Development, * Experience developing backend services or APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Python, or similar technologies. * Familiarity with RESTful microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, or GraphQL. * Exposure to cloud services and architectures, particularly AWS. * Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, messaging, streaming, caching, or search technologies such as Oracle, DynamoDB, Kafka, SQS, Redis, or OpenSearch. * Experience with Git-based development workflows, CI/CD practices, container technologies, observability tools, or secure software development practices. * Experience using AI-assisted development tools to support activities such as coding, debugging, testing, documentation, or code review. * At least 18 years of age * Legally authorized to work in the United States ## Description This role is essential for designing, implementing, and deploying scalable software solutions that meet customer requirements and support high availability environments. The Engineer, Software will contribute to backend services, APIs, microservices, and cloud-based capabilities supporting T-Mobile's core customer platforms, including capabilities such as churn prevention, lifecycle management, and fraud, while collaborating with engineering teams to understand system protocols, data flows, technology interactions, and architecture decisions. The team develops new business capabilities while modernizing platforms and improving reliability and resiliency across systems that support important customer and business experiences. This position independently develops software solutions while participating in broader technical design, architecture, and technology strategy discussions appropriate to the role. Success is measured by the ability to deliver effective technical solutions, produce clear documentation, collaborate across teams, and contribute innovative ideas that improve systems, engineering efficiency, and business outcomes.
