## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
 * U.S. Citizenship required.
 * Professional experience in mechanical design engineering.
 * Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design development.

## Description

* Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
 * Partner with customers and program engineers to understand product requirements, design intent, and technical objectives.
 * Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives to ensure product designs are optimized for production, cost, quality, and reliability.
 * Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and supporting documentation.
 * Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, and product validation activities.
 * Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and machine shop personnel to improve product designs and production processes.
 * Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of design improvements.
 * Collaborate with suppliers and vendors regarding component selection, manufacturability, and technical requirements.
 * Ensure designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements, including AS9100 environments when applicable.
 * Support new product development efforts from concept through production release.
