You Have: * 1+ years of experience with software development * Experience programming with Python * Experience building applications with a modern frontend framework or web development technology * Experience with object-oriented programming, software testing, and dependency or package management * Experience with databases and SQL * Experience with Git and source control * Ability to independently research technical problems * Ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and technologies * Ability to obtain a Secret clearance * Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Engineering field Nice If You Have: * Experience building full-stack applications through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional work * Experience programming with frontend languages or frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar modern web technologies * Experience with AI/ML, geospatial systems, modeling and simulation, or defense-related applications * Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or similar environments * Experience with containers such as Docker * Ability to demonstrate an interest in learning application deployment, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and software security best practices * Ability to work in small teams where engineers may contribute across multiple parts of a system * Possession of strong problem-solving skills ## Description The engineer will contribute across the application stack, including user interfaces, backend services, data integration, testing, and deployment. Work with users and technical team members to understand requirements and build practical software solutions. Develop and maintain web applications across frontend and backend components. Build backend services, APIs, and application logic using Python. Develop user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and languages and integrate applications with databases, APIs, and other data sources. Write, test, debug, and maintain reliable software.
